OTHMAN OTHMAN

Othman is a Research Fellow at The Division of Respiratory Medicine and is currently investigating the efficacy, time course, and dose dependency of oral/inhaled galectin-1 and-3 small molecule inhibitors as novel anti-fibrotic drugs in the treatment of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF).

Previous research conducted into establishing whether differences in the number and functional aspects of circulating endothelial progenitor cells may correlate with the type, severity and outcome of ischemic strokes, and if this vary in elderly stroke patients compared to age-matched healthy volunteers and also between healthy young and healthy elderly volunteers.
