Jessica Clavere Nottingham Covid Research Group

Having graduated from Newcastle University with First-Class Honours in Biomedical Sciences with an Industrial Placement Year (BSc), I am currently undertaking a PhD at Nottingham University as part of the Medical Research Council (MRC) Integrated Midlands Partnership for Biomedical Training (IMPACT) Doctoral Training Programme (DTP).

My PhD is based in the Division of Respiratory Medicine where I am working to define the mechanism of galectin-3 mediated TGF-β activation and its role in Idiopathic Lung Fibrosis (IPF). I am a student representative for both the Division of Respiratory Medicine and the 2019 MRC IMPACT cohort
