In addition to his postdoctoral education he has attended training on advanced statistics, machine learning, graph theory, big data and scientific programming delivered by well-known centres of excellence such as the Daresbury Laboratory of the Scientific and Technologies Facilities Council (BBSRC) and camBioScience.

His areas of expertise lies at the intersection of statistics, data sciences, bioinformatics, computational biology, genetics, epidemiology, machine learning, and systems biology. He applies these methods to study a broad spectrum of diseases, including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), cardiovascular disease, early life nutritional disorder and viral infections.

His current position as a research fellow includes the adaptation and development of analytical algorithms workflows with the aim of integrating genetic and physiological complex datasets.
